Alan Marks

I have worked on a wide range of subjects and genres since leaving college in 1980. Over the years my work has gained many accolades in the UK, Europe and America; my first children’s book, STORM by Kevin Crossley Holland, won the Carnegie Medal and, most recently, I won the Folio Society 2016 Book Illustration Competition to illustrate Michael Morpurgo’s WAR HORSE. In non-fiction, I’ve worked with The Royal Ballet and extensively on wildlife subjects with naturalists such as Jane Goodall, Sandra Markle and Simon Barnes.
