Hi, I am a freelance illustrator based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK.
I have 15 years experience working in production departments in the print and children’s publishing industries. At university I studied an art and design degree specialising in illustration and animation. However, I have been doodling characters and creatures since I could hold a pencil.
After years of producing other people’s work, I am now following my passion for children’s publishing and taking the plunge into the world of freelance illustration. My influences include; Axel Scheffler, Jonny Duddle and Korky Paul.
My main interest lies in the world of book publishing and my previous production experience means that all work I do will be technically correct for printing in books and digitally. I am also available for greeting cards and editorial illustrations too.
I mainly work digitally in raster format but can produce vector artwork if required.
When I’m not scribbling, you’ll find me wrestling with the perils of raising three daughters.
